Update: Patches of polished metal
We get the question almost daily: “When will the Polished Metal patches be available again?” And honestly: we are just as gutted about it. We know how popular this colourway is and understand that many of you are waiting for it.
Why Polished Metal is so tricky
Many modern rims are worn outthe surface is milled down to the metal and then finished with a clear lacquer. This gives it that recognisable metallic look that you can't replicate with ordinary paint.
For years, our Polished Metal patches were the go-to solution for invisibly repairing this type of damage. That is, until the formula we used suddenly became unavailable. Not because we decided to stop using it, but because certain ingredients were simply no longer available due to new regulations.
A new formula, easier said than done
It's now over five months since we began developing an alternative. That might sound like a long time, but each brand has its own finish. What is a perfect match for one might differ completely for another brand. That's why we have to develop a separate variant for each brand. And that takes time.
First result: BMW Polished Metal
Following extensive testing, we now have an initial result: the BMW Polished Metal patch. Geen 100% match, maar met zo’n 95% colour accuracy it's coming very close.

What now?
We expect to be able to offer variants for other brands within 1 to 2 months. But we'll be upfront: we only release a patch when we're completely satisfied with the quality.
